The Young Researchers of Imagine Institute (YR2I) and the Graduate Student Association of the Laboratory of Molecular Biology (LMB) of Cambridge team up to organize a joint symposium.
The conference will take place on the 14 th and 15 th of July 2016, in the LMB building.
Here is a summary of the symposium programme:
- A high quality scientific content. It will consist in 8 sessions focused on different themes of fundamental biology and medical science. Each session will have keynote lecture, from an international and high-level researcher, followed by a post-doc talk. Are also planned a session of PhD talks, a “carreer session”, a roundtable where participants can interact with professionals pursuing a scientific non-academic career, and two poster sessions.
- Social events for a friendly and warm atmosphere. Among these, a welcome drink in a pub of Cambridge on the arrival night, and a closure gala dinner on Friday night in the dining hall of Peterhouse College.
- Cambridge: a historical and beautiful setting. The participants from Imaginewill be house in student rooms on the central site of Trinity College, at the heart of one of the most ancient and prestigious university cities in the world.

PhDs and post-docs from Imagine are invited to participate in the talks and posters, by submitting an abstract on this website. The deadline of abstract submission is June 3 rd .
We will travel as a group from Paris to London, by Eurostar train, and then from Londonto Cambridge by regional train. We are expected to leave from Paris Gare du Nord on Wednesday 13 th of July at 13h30, and leave from Cambridge main station on Saturday 16 th at 13h30. As the United Kingdom requests to some non-EU citizens to acquire a visa in order to pass the border, we kindly ask any candidate potentially concerned by this visa procedure to contact us directly as soon as possible.
Thanks to a generous grant from the Imagine Institute, and to financial support from YR2I, 50 € only will be asked to each participant to cover the travel expenses, accommodation expenses, as well as part of the expenses related to social activities.
